Went to Abidjan yesterday to do some shopping. After wrangling with some taxis here in Bassam my neighbor helped me get one and he was okay although he got crushed by the taxi drivers in Abidjan. They know if you are from outside and they let him know he was not welcome. C'est la vie et c'est un peu amusant.
(I actually had to tell him to pick it up and kick some ass or we were going to get crushed by the other taxis. Normally, it's the exact opposite and I am offering to pay the drivers to slow down as they drive like complete maniacs. Crazy rides for sure going from Abidjan to Bassam.)
Coming back we picked up his happy little son to take back to school for the afternoon session which happened to be the same one Anna goes to. I decided to go in and surprise her and before I knew it I had a ton of kids climbing all over me. Anna saw me and ran right up to me and jumped into my arms. So much fun.
