The day of the event at Israel's school when we had the bike fest across the street from my place, some kids were riding with us on an old mountain bike that was way too big for them and had no brakes. At the time I thought that's really dangerous and just way too typical for what goes on around here. Kids taking whatever they can but it's far from what they need or deserve. The next morning there I was walking home and they had gotten in an accident. They took the boy who was hit to the hospital and his friend stayed but was very upset.
