For some time I have been telling Chris that I would teach him how to boogie board in the ocean. I told him on Monday that the waves were pretty good and small enough that we could go on Tuesday after school. He came over, of course with four of his friends, but I told him that the waves were a little big and we should wait. He said he still wanted to go so I said okay. The waves were fine and I got in the water with him. He has really progressed with his swimming and he a had a vest on so I felt good about it all. I pushed him with the waves and he had an absolute blast riding them. He could not get enough of it and didn't seem to mind getting tossed by the waves. Lots of fun watching him learn to do something for the first time and even more fun to see a kid with a lot of nerve do something that would've have scared me a lot.
