Tomorrow we resume our data collection. Results from the first wave of data are very interesting and so I am excited to get more obs in to see if the results hold. We will be in Abidjan all day collecting from two areas of the city. They are very bustling neighborhoods so we should get a lot of data and a lot of variation in respondents.
We have a great research team with four assistants. Our work schedule is pretty intense and so we should get a lot of work done before we depart for a rural village deep in the heart of the country. We are going to do this in late February and have rented a 4x4 for the trip. I will be sleeping village style with the goats and chickens. Bring it on. Then in April, Adou and I are going to Uganda to do replications of our research we have done here. He is our lead RA and has not been to East Africa so I am very excited to share this experience with him. It will be a great time indeed.
