We had a big Saturday. Got lots of data collected which left little for Sunday. Again it was a day of small adventures for me meeting lots of people and playing little games with kids. Three kids in particular were simultaneously enchanted yet fearful of me and we developed a game in which they would try and touch me and I would snap at them like a cat when they got too close and then they would scream and run away and do it over again.
Went back to the “bar” and the same kids were there and dancing although the harvest of peanuts came in so they were busy sorting peanuts too.
Had dinner at Adou’s Uncle’s compound and I learned over the course of dinner that as a kid they hunted rats and ate them. I had no clue but it’s a serious deal out on the farms and people eat rats. The next day I witnessed a rat hunt where they were digging for a rat. Crazy.
